How Induction Lighting WorksInduction lights rely on the fundamental principles of electromagnetic induction and gas discharge to create light. When energy is applied to the ferrite cores(inductors) located at each end of the glass tube, a very strong magnetic field is produced which travels through the glass and accelerates free electrons. The electrons then collide with mercury atoms and are excited. As the excited electrons fall back from their higher energy state to a lower stable level, they emit ultraviolet radiation. The UV radiation created is then converted to visible light as it passes through a phosphor coating on the inside of the tube. Since there are no filaments or electrodes to burn out, induction lights have an extremely long lifespan.

Shroom-N- French Green Beans

1 Lb Baby Bella Mushroom – Quartered

1 Medium onion chopped

6 cloves garlic minced

1-2 Lbs French Green Beans

2 Tbs. Butter

2 Tbs. Flour

2 Cups Milk

Fried Onions

1. Heat butter until melted and add flour and whisk constantly for about 2-3 min until golden.
2. Add milk and stir constantly until it thickens, turn off heat, add salt and pepper to taste and set aside to cool. (You want it to cool down to room temp. Stir occasionally as it cools)
3. cook green beans (steam or boil) until crisp tender
4. Sautee garlic about 30 sec. and onion until it starts to soften, then add your mushrooms and cook until soft.
5. In a large bowl, combine green beans, mush mixture and sauce and combine. Add salt and pepper for taste.
6. Put mixture in a buttered 9X13 pan and cover with foil. Cook at 350 Degrees until bubbly.
7. Add fried onions to top and broil on low (or bake) until onions crisp (watch so they don’t burn)
8. Enjoy

How to garden: Starting a Vegetable Garden

Recipe of the Day: "Kick the Tilapia"

"Kick the Tilapia"



Ingredients:

1 Fillet of Tilapia

1 tsp. garlic powder

½  tsp. sea salt

½  tsp. black pepper

½  tsp. cayenne pepper

½  tsp. coriander

½  tsp. cumin

½  cup chopped zucchini

½ medium jalapeno (diced)

¼  cup sliced red onion

Vinaigrette

2 tbsp. minced cilantro

1 medium avocado cubed

3 tbsp. olive oil

Juice of ½ a lime

3 tbsp. red wine vinegar.

1 tbsp. minced garlic

1 cup white rice

-         Cook rice as directions call for.

-         Combine garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin in a small bowl.

-         Coat both sides of the fillet with the seasoning mix.

-         Heat a flat skillet and use 1 tbsp. olive oil to coat it. Sauté vegetables until; almost cooked all the way through.

-         Place fillet on skillet and turn heat to medium.

-         In a separate bowl combine remainder of the olive oil, lime juice, red wine vinegar, avocado, and minced garlic and mix together

-         Once the fish and vegetables are cooked lay down a bed of rice, top with vegetables, lay down your fillet, and drizzle the avocado vinaigrette over the fish.

-         Now Enjoy

The final stop on the ‘Grow Like a Pro’ Indoor Gardening Expo Tour will be in Long Beach,California November 3 to 4, 2012. This world-class event will be a combination Indoor Gardening and Hydrolife Expo featuring leading experts from the hydro, snow, surf, skate and bike industries. Held at the beautiful Long Beach Convention Centerfor the third year running, this expo provides the ideal location with the perfect mix of culture and climate.
The two-day expo will be open to the industry only on Saturday, November 3 with extended hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. giving attendees more time to interact and do business with hundreds of industry-leading international exhibitors. Sunday, November 4 the doors will open to the general public from noon to 5 p.m. to enjoy and explore the multitude of new and innovative products available.

Those choosing to register at the door will need to provide a store business license and identification along with a $25 entrance fee. Registration policies will be strictly enforced to ensure a successful event for everyone. Please familiarize yourself with the registration policies to ensure smoother entrance at the door on show day. Sunday, November 4 is open to both the industry and the general public with priority entry for pre-registered retail shops from noon to 5 p.m. No registration is necessary for Sunday.
